Between the handshakes and
the cold New Hampshire hospitality
Salutations and red carpets
are the cornerstones of this
broken down concrete
Standing ovations and hugs
are shared among the living
from the golden curbs
Wreaths of prosperity are
hung on the door all year round
Love thy neighbor is a
song sung in multiple languages
Perhaps Welcome Street is
the Apple pie of the United States
Check out my books!
Looks like the ‘burbs to me. ‘Burbs aren’t especially known for hospitality-or for “Love thy neighbour”, in any language.

Right – when I wrote it I was thinking of the 50s when times were different

Its a shame there’s far too much rush-rush for this type of hospitality these days. People pass each other with their mobile’s raised and barely seem to notice each other.
So What IS your writing challenge??
