    3. I think I feel lonely because I connect or feel understood by other poets or writers by people I don’t even know but don’t connect well with people who I do know, if that makes sense. But what you stated makes sense.

I tell my daughter, who is Down syndrome, that being different is a good thing, because being like everyone else is boring and dull, whereas she is unique and exciting, and should never be afraid for being who she is. If people have problems with her, it’s their issue not hers. I love her personality and sincerity which you don’t see too often nowadays. Creative individuals are always layered with so many different emotions, it’s what makes them creative. They are what they feel and sometimes, that includes a darker side. Instead of loathing those parts, learn to embrace them and make them work for you. You will find yourself better for it.
